Jewelry Care & Sizing Guide
Clear information, professional guidance and the details behind the BornReal experience.
Caring for your jewelry
How do I clean 925 silver jewelry?
Wipe with a soft, dry polishing cloth after wearing. For build-up, use lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap and a soft brush, rinse, and dry completely.
How do I make gold plating last longer?
Put jewelry on after perfume, lotion and hairspray; remove it before swimming, showering, exercise and cleaning; store it dry.
How should I store my jewelry?
Store each piece separately in a pouch or lined box to prevent scratches and tangling, away from humidity.
Avoid harsh chemicals, chlorine, ultrasonic cleaners on plated or stone-set pieces, and abrasive cloths. If a stone feels loose, stop wearing the piece and contact us.

How to measure
How do I measure my ring size?
Wrap a strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimeters; compare with the chart below. Measure at the end of the day when fingers are largest.
Chain widths and lengths
- Tennis chains: commonly 3mm–6mm wide; 3–4mm reads subtle, 5–6mm is a statement piece.
- Cuban link chains and bracelets: commonly 8mm–14mm and up; wider links look bolder and weigh more.
- Necklace lengths: 16" sits at the base of the neck, 18" at the collarbone, 20" just below the collarbone, 22–24" on the chest (typical for pendants).
- Bracelet lengths: measure your wrist and add about 0.5–1 inch for a comfortable fit.
Available widths and lengths vary by product—check each product page. See also our size chart and Jewelry 101 guides.
